So, another discouraging day. I called the appeals office in the UK and found out that the appeal process can take up to 10 months. But I insisted that I had filed a letter of urgency and they informed me that in that case it would only take 6-8 months. So on the advise of the appeals office and with discussion with friends and family, I re-filed a claim for the visa. And I repaid the exorbitant amount of money for said visa. This better be worth it. I just finished the online process and it was even more unnerving since I was not sure of all the specifics I gave the first time. Such as "have I had an thoughts of terrorism during times of peace". Yeah, thats important because having those thoughts at any other time is appropriate. But it was the question such as, "how much money do I acquire monthly and spend monthly", those have now changed since I have a tenant.
All I can say is "someone is going to go over this package before I send it off". You can't say I don't learn from my mistakes.

Bitter Sweet
I was on top of the world yesterday when a couple came with cash in hand to purchase my Cobalt. I finally have some cash and the burden of leaving the car with Jim is lifted. We went out and celebrated with dinner and a movie. But today when they came to take it home I found myself sitting and watching Lexi without transportation. I normally would not have gone anywhere, but the fact that the option was taken away was very depressing. My car was fun and looked sexy however I would not buy another one like it.
So here is to a car that got me to and from North Bay without issues and a car that I taught Andrew to drive standard.
Onward and Upward now I wait for the visa.

I won't give up
Every day this journey becomes more appealing. There are days that I feel I can't go on. When the paperwork arrived for appealing the decision regarding the denial of a work visa, I just cried. How could I screw something up so regally. I did not want to continue this is too hard.
But, the beauty I saw in my father is now visible in my uncles. One uncle had been doing a family history for the past 2 years and provided me with information I could never have gathered. Another uncle has been invaluable. He has gone out of his way to get the documents required and send everything overnight to the appeals court. If that is not enough I have a cousin inviting me to visit once I am settled. I have not seen her since the age of 7.
I can't quit now this means too much to me.

Very Down
I can't think of a day in my life that I felt this depressed. My visa was denied because I needed to send in my grandparents birth certificate. I thought my fathers was enough. Now the appeal process, and the work required seems overwhelming. However, I am blessed with friends who love and support me. Kevin and Jim who seem to have set up a networking support system. Maureen, who pointed out that the process may not be as daunting as first thought and treated me to wonton soup and some shopping therapy. Then Marjorie and Rob spoiled me as usual with a night out at Cowapalooza and then games. So, I am a bit more grounded than I was at 11am this morning and ready to continue this journey.

Visa's Suck
I had a set back today. My application for a UK visa was denied. I am not sure what went wrong and I won't know till I get all the papers back. You would think that this day of age they would contact me via email and clarify any issues. Now I need to wait and then re-apply. This is so frustrating!!!

Hello,
So this is a blog I originally set up for school. Let's see if I can get it to work.
So this is a blog I originally set up for school. Let's see if I can get it to work.
Not the most flattering picture of me, but I was over the moon with the turn out of my 50th Birthday/Graduation/Going to the UK celebration.
I want to communicate with everyone while I am in England and I think this will be the best way.
Thanks for all your love and support, here we go.
